Samsung has begun the rollout of a further update to the almost two years old Galaxy S. It is certainly not an Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, but a partially ICS-inspired one.

Update based on Android 2.3.6/Gingerbread include among others facial unlocking function from the last androidversionen beyond performance and camera enhancements and a more polished UI.

The Galaxy S features introduced with the update (Value Pack Update) reads:
