Samsung Galaxy S II LTE

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE

LTE or 4G is what everyone is talking about today, but there are very few phones that actually make it. One is the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and I have looked a bit on.

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE features:

-          4.5″ 480 × 800

-          Dual-CPU at 1.5GHz

-          Android 2.3

-          800/1800/2600MHz 4G/LTE

-          1GB RAM / 16GB internal

-          1850mAh battery

This is actually very simple. This is a Samsung Galaxy SII which can also run 4G/LTE on the two LTE bands in Sweden. In other respects, it differs to my knowledge no way from a regular Galaxy S II.

LTE phones in the pipeline – Galaxy S II LTE first out

Samsung is the first company to launch an LTE phone – Samsung Galaxy S II LTE – in the Nordic market. Since there are many questions surrounding the LTE standard and what it means, we have taken the opportunity to put forward a couple of questions about just LTE to Michael Alström, 4G operator in the Nordic countries on the Samsung.

How does LTE from 3G? If the difference is great what affects bandwidth, latencies, etc.? What about phone calls over LTE network?

Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will be available next week for the Galaxy S II. Samsung announces that Israel at least through his Facebook page.

“Recently we reported that we are dealing with it, though. Your patience is rewarded. On 15 March, Android 4.0, ICS, for the tens of thousands Galaxy S II devices that are purchased,” said the Israeli branch of Samsung. Whether this means that the update is also available in the Netherlands is still unclear.
