The waltz ROMs under Android 2.3.4 begins: HTC Desire is the first in the dance

Just made available on the AOSP, Android 2.3.4 is already focused on the HTC Desire.
Android 2.3.4 was announced last night. It brings video chat on the Nexus S and fixes some bugs on the Nexus One. The changelog (list of changes) is given for these two phones, but not on the platform in general. Most certainly, this new version improves system performance. The source code and binaries were quickly placed on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
A direct consequence is the arrival of ROMs using this code. This is particularly the case of HTC Desire, which opens the ball. Although it was released over a year ago, this phone is still very popular with developers. ROM devnull therefore offers the taste of gingerbread, while the official update to Gingerbread is still awaited.
Compared to the original code, these elements have been added:
- The WiFi support ad hoc
- Fix for notification via LEDs
- Fix for switching between WiFi and 3G
- Only Google Apps needed
- APK SuperUuser
Have been deleted:
- Foreign languages
- The animated wallpapers
- Advice
FM Radio and busybox A2SD are not included.
To use the ROM, you run on xda-developpers.
ROMs as CyanogenMod should not delay to include this new version of Android.
